Fresh Cut Flowers - Add water daily, regardless of the medium in which the flowers are arranged.

Cut Flowers - Recut all flowers under water by placing the flower stems in a sink with 3" to 4" of water. Recut stems with scissors under water and immediately place the freshly cut flowers into water containing a floral preservative. Check water daily.
AVOID placing fresh flowers in direct sunlight, on televisions, in drafts and any area of direct heat.
